Designed by Verner Panton in 1968, the Flowerpot began as one of Danish design’s most unconventional expressions of the late-1960s Flower Power era. Its instantly recognisable two-shade silhouette brings a playful, graphic presence to the VP9, while the Grey Beige finish gives this portable version a quieter, more architectural character.
Slightly smaller and deliberately lightweight compared with the Flowerpot table lamp, the VP9 is designed to move easily wherever ambient light is needed. Its cordless format works naturally on dining tables, side tables, counters and occasional surfaces, allowing the lamp to adapt between settings rather than remain fixed in one position.
An integrated LED source provides a warm, atmospheric glow, with touch dimming for simple adjustment throughout the day and evening. Magnetic USB charging supports the lamp’s portable use, while its considered proportions make it equally suited to intimate indoor settings and outdoor spaces.
Part of the Flowerpot collection, the VP9 preserves Panton’s original design intent while translating it into a more flexible contemporary format. The result is a compact lighting piece with a strong visual identity—easy to place, easy to move and quietly expressive whether used alone or arranged with other lamps.
