Flowerpot Portable VP9, Dark Plum

The Flowerpot Portable VP9 brings Verner Panton’s expressive 1968 design into a compact, cordless format. Recognised for its balanced pairing of two rounded shades, the Flowerpot lamp has become one of the defining forms of Danish modern lighting. In Dark Plum, its deep, muted colour gives the sculptural silhouette a more intimate presence while retaining the playful character of the original design.

Smaller than the classic Flowerpot table lamp, the VP9 is designed to move easily wherever light is needed. Place it on a bedside table, console, dining table or desk, then carry it from room to room without managing a permanent power connection. Its integrated LED produces a warm 2700K glow, while the touch dimmer offers three brightness levels—100%, 50% and 20%—for focused light or a softer ambient setting.

The rechargeable lamp operates for up to 10 hours at the highest light setting and takes approximately 8 hours to recharge. A magnetic USB charging cable is included, allowing the lamp to be charged from a suitable USB power source. The battery is replaceable as a spare part, supporting continued use over time.

Made from lacquered polycarbonate with a steel dimmer, the VP9 is deliberately lightweight and easy to handle. It can be taken outdoors temporarily in dry conditions, but it is intended for indoor use and should be stored indoors. For care, wipe the surface with a soft, damp cloth and dry it immediately; avoid abrasive tools and strong cleaning products.
