Details
Designed by Verner Panton in 1968, the Flowerpot is one of the most distinctive Danish designs of its era. Its expressive two-dome silhouette became closely associated with restaurant interiors, exhibitions and Panton’s characteristically unconventional approach to colour, proportion and atmosphere. The portable VP9 translates that established form into a compact, rechargeable lamp for flexible placement throughout the home.
Slightly smaller and deliberately lightweight compared with the Flowerpot table lamp, the VP9 is designed to create a warm, intimate pool of light wherever it is needed. Three-level touch dimming allows the atmosphere to be adjusted with a simple touch, while the magnetic USB charging connection supports convenient everyday use without a permanent cable connection.
This version is finished in chrome-plated surface, giving the sculptural profile a reflective, contemporary character. The upper and lower domes retain the clean visual relationship that defines the Flowerpot family, while the compact footprint makes the lamp suitable for dining tables, bedside tables, consoles and occasional surfaces.
The Flowerpot Portable VP9 includes a USB charging cable and is intended for indoor use in this chrome-plated finish. It is a considered choice for interiors that call for portable illumination alongside a recognised piece of modern Danish design.
